…Mom’s Rice Pudding…

since I was a child my mother has made this for me, I never cared for the taste of eggs in mine. Mom still makes it when I go home, the last time she made two or three batches. It is so good. I eat no other.

1/2 –cup non processed rice–cooked–mom does not drain hers, but cooks liquid off
1/2–cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2tsp nutmeg
2– quarts milk

Mix rice, sugar, salt, nutmeg in glass baking dish, add milk. Bake 2 1/2 hours, add raisins, bake 1/2 hour longer till browned on top. I like mine cold, cold, cold.
