..Idea....
Make a castle for Easter. Many years ago my children and I made a castle for Christmas. We used aluminum foil to cover a box, added towers, etc. Sit in grass, add eggs, bunnies. There is a recipe to use soap flakes and water and you cover things with this, regretfully I just sent the booklet with instructions for this to school last fall. If anyone else knows about this, let me know, I will look for the information.
..A few times recently I had made egg salad or deviled eggs. I practically had to take a hammer to get the shells off the eggs..Hint for boiling eggs..I have used this several times and it works..let water come about 1/2 inch over the eggs, bring to a boil, turn stove off and let sit for 19 minutes with lid on..run under cold water and remove shells..

Here comes Peter Cottontail..

..Clothes for Kids..
Many times children do not get to church because they do not have the proper clothes.
..**Oh..!!..Goodness me..!!..Last year I only bought a $60+ dress for my granddaughter Elizabeth at Easter..problem was it was too cold at Easter to wear it..she wore a dress her sister had 8 years earlier for Christmas..!!..the dress was sleeveless and kind of thin..she did get to wear it one time..but that's all..now I never pay full price for anything and I think I got it 30% off..I later bought her some for probably 60% off..**Twice recently an occurence happened where chidren have no church clothes, but a relative wanted to take them to church.
Couldn't churches have a drive and collect church clothes? Then GIVE them away? Perhaps a donation bucket could be set up? If you only have a quarter that is what you pay..!!..
After pricing dresses I see what the problem is!

...Beverage Carton Bunny...
I originally made one of these bunnies when son Shawn was in second grade. I took a large meat tray, sat it on that. Put grass, candies all over, covered with wrap and sent it to school. The teacher then re-did this and sent it to a nursing home where her mother was.
A few years back my grandson and I made one. These are very cute.
***Read all of this first***I hope since I have added the picture you can look at this to make one..enjoy..
Wash container, dry, staple back together as the container originally was. This stapled part is the face. Cover with cotton-balls*, I cut these in two and spread a bit. I do recommend Aleen's Glue in the gold bottle. *You will cut out an oval on the top back to add grass, eggs, candy. Do not cut too close to edge. Cover all sides except bottom with cotton balls. *Cotton balls come in many sizes, I use the biggest ones I can find. Cut ear shapes about 6-7 inches tall from construction paper. Cut eyes and a little mouth and wiskers. *Glue the ears to the face part that forms a v. before putting cotton balls on. Glue eyes, mouth on after cotton balls are added.
Use more to make a tail. Or make a pom-pom. Add grass, candy.

..Idea..
A few years back I gathered all of my plastic eggs together. I put them in a real big basket. I decorated them in all sorts of ways. Some I simply tied ribbon around, I tied the ribbon in all sorts of ways..add little roses..sew ons..on others I used the paint for the color point. This really was great. Some I just drizzled on, some I made little dots, whatever. If you do not like it, wait till dry and take it off. Remember this around little children, the paint will peel off easily. Dry good before putting in basket. On some I used one color, on others two or three. They sure are pretty.I literally used up all drops of whatever I had around the house, glitter glue, the foiling. Everyone liked them.
Use a color theme with your eggs..pink, green, blue....yellows and oranges...purple and blue...use matching ribbons...if I see pretty eggs I do buy them as next year you may not see them..

....pass the rotten or lucky egg...
pin the tail on the Easter Bunny..this could be a big pom-pom..
..In school my son's kindergarten class had an Easter hat parade. Each child had to bring a home made hat. They wore these and paraded through all of the class rooms.
For our sons we took aluminum pie tins. We covered this with brown construction paper, stuffed with fiberfill underneath. Then we added blackbirds that stood up. It really was cute.
Use your candle holders, add some grass and a votive candle..(Do not light..for looks only..I will remove grass on Easter and light them then..) Wash really clean, add jelly beans...use jelly beans to brighten up any jar...I did find some small Easter clingers, add one to the jar..
Wal-Mart has the shiny Easter grass. I used white, or clear, very pretty.

...In college one year we did this…cut green poster board in strips about 3-4 inches wide. Make in grass shape, like teeth on top. On bottom of board staple these with a slight bend to them, just staple each side, not the middles.
Put green Easter grass in these. Then eggs on the grass. For the rest of the bulletin board we took eggs apart, put a thumb tack through and tack whole egg to board. From each side we had bunnies hopping towards the center. Sometimes you can find the basic shape bunnies in Hallmark shops, we cut out bunnies in all colors. Use poster board or construction paper. You can glitter these, or paint them, or sponge paint them. Regretfully I was going to take a picture of this and someone did me a favor and took it down before I could..!!.. I have seen daffodills made with the poster board, these would look great with this.
