1/2--cup confectioner’s sugar
1--cup Crisco..butter flavor
mix together..cream add...
2--cups all purpose flour
2--tsp vanilla
2--tsp salt
2--cups nuts as desired
roll into small ball and bake at 350 for 15 mins..roll in confectioner's sugar on wax paper..cool..

1--cup flour
1--stick softened butter
2--tablespoons sugar
1/4--cup chopped nuts
Blend above ingredients into a 9x13 baking dish, bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
1--box cream cheese room temp
2/3--cup confectioner's sugar
1--9oz carton Cool Whip
2--packages instant pistachio pudding
2-1/2--cups cold milk
Combine cream cheese, confectioners's sugar and half of whipped topping, spread over cooled crust. Combine pudding mix and milk, spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping.

1-1/2--cups flour
3/4--cups margarine
3/4--cup chopped nuts
Mix together, spread in 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes until lightly brown. Cool.
1--8 oz cream cheese
1--cup confectioners sugar
3-- cups Cool Whip
Mix softened cream cheese and confectioner's sugar , fold in 1 cup Cool Whip spread on cooled crust.
2--packages (not instant) vanilla pudding
3-1/4--cups milk
1--can cherry pie filling
Cook pudding in milk, cool, stirring once in a while. Do not chill. Spread over cream cheese mixture. Spread pie filling on top, cover with remaining Cool Whip
You can refrigerate between layers. You can make this into a 4 layer by using another pudding and leaving out pie filling. I have had this with butterscotch pudding. You can vary the pie filling, using blueberry with vanilla pudding.

Lesley & Doug's/Super Chicken Dinner-
(very simple)
2 whole chickens (quartered)
3--lbs carrots or less
6--white or red potatoes (cut in half if large)
2--onions (quartered or sliced)
1/2--teaspoon salt and pepper
1--tablespoon poultry seasoning
1/2--cup Rose wine
8--oz tomato sauce (any kind you like)
1/4--stick butter or margarine
Separately par boil chicken, carrots, potatoes and onions. Pre heat oven to 375 degrees
Place..chicken, carrots, potatoes, onions, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, wine and tomato sauce in baking dish. Put pats of butter on chicken. Cover with tin foil bake 1 hour-remove foil for 1/2 hour or till chicken browns. It tastes great and you may even get left overs!

1--cup sugar
1--cup water
1--package cranberries fresh or frozen
In a sauce pan mix sugar, water, stir to dissolve sugar. Bring to boil, add cranberries, return to boil, reduce heat, boil gently 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Cool completely at room temperature, refrigerate. Makes about 2-1/4 cups.

1--cup fresh or frozen cranberries chopped
1/2--cup chopped nuts
1--tablespoon grated orange peel (optional)
Heat oven to 350. Generously grease, lightly flour 9x5x3 loaf pan. Mix cranberries, nuts and orange peel. Set aside.
2--cups all purpose flour
1--cup sugar
1-1/2--teaspoon baking powder
1--teaspoon salt (optional)
1/2--teaspoon baking soda
2--tablespoons shortening
3/4--cup orange juice
1--egg well beaten
In a bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, soda. Cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice, egg and orange peel. Mixing just to moisten. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake 60 minutes. Cool on a rack 15 minutes. I leave mine in pan.

1--cup sugar
8--oz cream cheese
1/2--cup milk
16--oz container Cool Whip
1--large angel food cake
1--cup cherry pie filling
Cream together sugar and cream cheese. Blend in milk and Cool Whip. Slice cake thinly, place in 9x13x2 pan. Spread half mixture over, repeat layers. Spread filling on top. Chill overnight.

.... Cherry Topped Cheese Cake....
1--package Duncan Heinz yellow cake mix
1--egg
2--tablespoons oil
Preheat oven to 300. Reserve I cup of cake mix. Combine above in a bowl. Mixture will be crumbly. Press crust mixture into bottom and 3/4 way up sides of a greased 9x13x2 pan.
In same bowl blend following:
2-8oz packages softened cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
Add 3 eggs and remaining cake mix, beat 1 minute at medium speed.
Add..
3--teaspoons vanilla
3--tablespoons lemon juice
1-1/2--cups milk
At slow speed slowly add milk, flavoring, mix until smooth.
Pour into crust. Bake 45 to 55 minutes until center is firm. When cool top with pie filling, chill before serving. Store in refrigerator covered with foil.

1--large bag seasoned stuffing (Arnold's)
2--cups warm water
6-8--stalks chopped celery
Mix above in large Pyrex bowl.
1/4--pound butter
2--medium onions
Melt butter, saute' chopped onions for 3-4 minutes, add to stuffing.
2--eggs
Add to stuffing, mix well.
Depending on how moist you like your stuffing, add 1 additional cup of water. You may stuff your turkey or chicken. I leave stuffing in bowl as loosely as possible. Bake 1-1-1/4 hours.
